I am a 30 year IT professional. I’ve worked for MSPs, small family owned companies, and huge international corporations. I am proficient in almost all aspects of Information Technology except most new programming codes. I went to college for Computer Science Programming and have never worked a day as a programmer. I have mostly been working as a System Administrator and/or a Network Administrator. I am currently the IT Director of a local industrial corporation. The majority of my IT skillset revolves around Linux/Unix based servers. I used Linux as a desktop OS from 1997 to 2022. In 2022 I swapped over to using a MacBook with macOS as my preferred OS. However, if I can make it work using a linux server, then I would prefer that to using a Windows server. Nothing against Windows, I just prefer the command prompt on a Unix based OS over CMD in Windows. Powershell is nice but it’s not zsh/bash.
