I’m sure you’re aware, but the new site is incredibly slow and buggy. I put off renewing for several weeks due to being unable to log in to my account.
Finally managed today, but the browser console had several pages of errors by the time I was done.
Even while writing this post, my browser console has a 404 for a failed post.. I wonder if this will submit…
I dont get any errors. Maybe try clearing your browser cache?
I am using latest version of chrome if that helps.
Main site, community site, contact form and login all works with out errors. I even checked chrome console to be sure.
I’m usually a firefox user. I just tried again in chrome.
Chrome console doesn’t display errors, though the site is still very slow in chrome, and the network tab shows failed gets. Here’s me signing in to check my licenses:
In chrome I go to the account page. I’m signed out and see an empty account page. ~15 seconds later we get two 401s and the login dialog appears
i sign in.. it stalls for ~15 seconds
it asks for a 2fa code. I enter it and click to submit. 20 seconds pass
I’m now logged in. I click Licenses. “your account has no simplehelp licenses” … 20 seconds pass, the licenses appear
I don’t need to use the site for another year, so it doesn’t bother me. But I figured I should mention it in case the devs were unaware.
Wow, ya that is awful. Sorry. The devs dont usually go through the community site to often though. If your certain theres nothing on your end, maybe send them some screenshots of the console through a support ticket.
I wonder if it’s something to do with your region and cloudflare, or if you’re behind some type of filtering up stream from you. Following the same instructions you provided, mine loads almost instant, no 401s or errors.
Hopefully it gets resolved.
No problem here. Both Firefox and Chrome have very fast load times; no problem logging in. US west coast.
Have you tried loading the site from a different location?
