Updated from SH 5.5.8 to 5.5.9 on 8 March.
Today, I noticed that none of the technicians appear in the admins interface technician section, but they still all can connect to the instance.
Also, the restrictions of those technicians isn’t enforced. THEY CAN CONNECT TO ALL MY REMOTE COMPUTERS regardless of their group which has computer filters set.
For now I’ve downgraded to 5.5.8 in order to avoid any security concerns.
Still, I do have a full copy of the 5.5.9 setup with invisible but working technician accounts which I can load for further tests.
We do not appear to be having the issue with a TECH being able to connect to all remote computers (ie: Computers in other groups, do not show)
However, we just noticed the filters do not appear to be working and Tech’s in the same group CAN access computers which used to be hidden because of filters.

These issues match those reported by other users having problems with the update process over the years, but these are not issues known to affect 5.5.9.
When encountering issues just after updating, you can use the admin script to extract server logs starting from just before you updated to the present.
