Ubuntu & Debian - Black screen

Need a little help. We’re on the latest stable SH release (running on an ubuntu server) and have tested on two different VMs and a Dell XPS 13 with the latest Ubuntu LTS and Debian 11. We can connect to the session, chat, and I can even see the mouse move remotely however the screen is black.

Windows & macOS remote sessions work perfectly.

Edit: to clarify we have tried running the installer as a regular user and sudo with the same result.
Edit #2: Works perfectly fine on a co-workers Kali Linux install. As root and as a regular user.

SOLVED: Uncomment Wayland=false in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf then reboot

I am not sure, but it could be because your using wayland?

Wayland will be supported in the next release, Version 5.4.x

Created an account just to express thanks. The post marked as solved worked for me. Exact same symptoms on 24.04.2 and have spent the last few hours getting nowhere.

Uncommented Wayland=false in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf, rebooted, and it worked immediately
