Updating from SH 5.4.5 to SH 5.5.12

Hello,

The Updating Guide at https://simple-help.com/updating-guide#updating-simplehelp provides Important Version Transition details, however, it is not clear if my transition path ( SH 5.4.5 to SH 5.5.12 ) is covered here. The topic “Transitioning to v5.5” talks about “upgrading from v5.3 or earlier“ and “Update your server to 5.4.10 using an installer from the version library here: https://simple-help.com/previous-releases“. Unfortunately, the link to previous releases is a dead link.

Does a direct update to SH 5.5.12 (from 5.4.5) include the security patch? Can I safely ignore the Important Version Transition details in the Updating Guide?

Hi. Did you get any help with this? I have an even older version and need to update to 5.4 before going to 5.5 but have the same issue with the link to previous versions not working. I have emailed support a couple of times but no one seems to be responding.

Hi Jeff. Sadly, no help from SimpleHelp! I don’t think anybody from SimpleHelp actually participates or reads this forum - their loss, because I’ve given up on them.

I went ahead and simply upgraded, ignoring the “Important” Version Transition details. Everything is working for me, in my very specific, narrow use of the software. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

I would recommend you submit a support ticket to get a clear upgrade path:
